The service life of FRP is more than 30 years.
FRP is a reinforced plastic with glass fiber as reinforcing material and resin as matrix material. Add flame retardant to the glass fiber reinforced plastic matrix and use flame retardant resin to add flame retardant, the oxygen index can reach 34-36, which fully meets the flame retardant and fireproof requirements of fermentation equipment. As a new functional material, the price of raw materials used in FRP is relatively high.
Generally speaking, the price of FRP equipment is higher than that of carbon steel equipment and some plastic equipment, but lower than that of stainless steel and some other non-ferrous metal equipment. However, due to the advantages of light weight, good corrosion resistance, long service life, and less maintenance of FRP, its installation, use costs and comprehensive construction costs are low; and for some equipment with complex or harsh operating conditions, each method can be adopted. For example, the heating coil is made of stainless or titanium, lined with thermoplastics, etc., in order to achieve both excellent performance and cost reduction.
